Analysis of connection process in GMPLS RSVP-TE

Abstract

This paper goes through the basic details of GMPLS extensions to RSVP-TE,which is mainly used to dynamically establish/maintain/delete connection in non-IP network,especially in optical network.The new objects and message not covered by RSVP-TE are introduced in this paper.The connection establishment/deletion and the restart of controlling plan procedure in optical network are also described with the aid of some examples.It also compares and summarizes the difference of connection establishment procedure between RSVP-TE and GMPLS RSVP-TE.
