RCT Research on Scalp electric Acupuncture Improving Cognition Function of VascuLar Dementia Patients

Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of scalp electric acupuncture on vascuLar dementia,and apply the evidence for clinic.Methods:270 patients were involved in this trial,and divided into 3 groups.Every group measured MMSE measuring scale,and P300 test before treatment,and then rechecked 6 weeks later when treatment course were completed.ResuLt:This trial was well completed and the characteristics of 3 clinic centers were comparable.After treatment,both of the scalp electric acupuncture group and scalp electric acupuncture with Nimodipine group has extreme significant difference with Nimodipine group,and scalp electric acupuncture with Nimodipine group has significant difference with electro-acupuncture group.Conclusion:scalp electric acupuncture with Nimodipine has the best effect and high safe.This method can improve patients' abilities about recognition and decision obviously,and can elevate excitability about cerebral cortex.
