Abstract

Objective:To discuss the clinical significance and mechanism of the level of serum AT-Ⅲand prealbumin (PA) in patients with hepatic disease. Methods:Serum AT-Ⅲ antigen (AT-Ⅲ Ag) level was determined by the method of rocket electrophore-sis,AT-3Ⅲ activity( AT-Ⅲ :A) was determined by thrombase-gel-spot method, and the serum PA was determined by rate nephelome-try. Results:The levels of serum ATⅢ and PA were lower in each abnomal groups than those in normal control group ( P 0.01) , the level of PA decreased more significantly than the level of serum AT-Ⅲ (P 0.01) ,especially in the group with acute hepatitis. Conclusion: The change of the level of PA can express the damage degree of hepatic cell in early stage and can express the reservation function of liver. This parameter is more sensitivity than that of AT- Ⅲ . So determination of serum PA is very valuable.
