Abstract
Death is a silent topic that adults never mention in front of the children. However,death is a natural phenomenon which is inevitable and objective in the life of children. When children see the death,usually there will be negative emotions,or even abnormal behavior. The picture book is an effective media for early childhood death education,and the vivid pictures and rich text accord with the development characteristics and rules of children's reading psychology. This paper tries to set out from the value of death education in picture books,combine with the death phenomena with which children often come into contact,and introduce and analyze the selection and application of picture books from bereavement,the death of a pet,plant death and funeral custom.
