Abstract

naphthol 5 sulfonic acid is synthesized by using naphthalene as raw material. Disodium 1,5 naphthalenedisulfonate is produced by the sulphonation of naphthalene, then hydrolyzed with the solution of sodium hydroxide to synthesize 1 naphthol 5 sulfonic acid. The total yield can reach 49 2%.
