Abstract
Objective:To examine whether the apoptosis of adult cardiomyocytes could be induced by ischemia reperfusion, and to observe the effect of Rb 1 on the apoptosis. Methods:Agarose gel electrophoresis,TdT mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) and fluorescence spectrophotometry were used. Results:The group of ischemia reperfusion showed characteristic DNA ladders in agarose gels;the percentage of positive cells in TUNEL and the DNA fragmentation observed with fluorospectrophotometer were higher than that of control. The group of Rb 1 showed that the percentage of apoptosis in TUNEL was obviously reduced, and the percentage of DNA freagmentation was also less than that of control. Conclusion:The apoptosis of adult cardiomyocytes could be induced by ischemia reperfusion injury and inhibited by Rb 1.
