Abstract

The analysis of the influence of rainfall Doppler frequency clutter on the Doppler performance of MMW fuze is significant for the exploiture of the MMW Doppler fuze by using the Doppler information as the criteria of the proximity or touch detonating.In present paper,the relationships of the Doppler frequencies caused by target or rainfall with the time or the distance to arrive at the miss-point in the encounter course of missile and target are presented for different miss-distance at 35 and 95GHz, respectively.The influences of rainfall on target Doppler frequency are analyzed.The results show that the distance between fuze and target is less than about 30m,the difference between the rain Doppler frequency and the target Doppler frequency decrease gradually with the distance decreasing.The influences of rain Doppler clutter on target Doppler information become gradually bigger with the distance approach and rainfall increase,and need be considered for the application of a MMW Doppler fuze, especially,for stronger rainfall,a smaller target and a wider fuze radar beam.
