Abstract
The darkling beetles of the Ordos Plateau based on 72 species belonging to 25 genera,9 tribes and 2 subfamily was analyzed, the result shows that the predominant tribes are Opatrini,Tentyriini,Blaptini,Pimeliini and Pimeliini, altogether consisting of 65 species and 20 genera, accounting for 90.3% and 80.0% of the region's total genera and species respectively. The predominant genera are Microderao(11 species),Blaps(10 species),Anatolica(9 species) and Melanesthes(8 species) in general composition, taking for 52.8%of the total species. The darkling beetles of the Ordos Plateau belongs to Mongolo-Xingjiang Region species(72 species,100.0%) and North China species(22 species,30.6%) of Central Asian subrealm on the faunal composition,Qinghai-Xizang Region,Northeast Region,Mid-China Region,South-west Region and South China Region account for 22.2%(16 species). There are 53(73.6%) common species with the Inner Mongolia Plateau(241 species) and 20(27.8%) common species with the Loess Plateau, endemic species 7species(9.7%).The Ordos Plateau was divided into four small regions based on the natural conditions,The number and percentage of species(including common species) are as following:Maowusu Region(68 species,94.4%) Kubuqi Region(26 species,36.1%) Zhuozishan Region(16 species,22.2%) Loess Hills Region(20 species,27.7%).
