Abstract
In the pre-Qin period, besides the Taoism,Confucianism also advocated wu-wei(inaction) Thought.however,Confucius's thought was quite different from the thought of Lao Zi's.Confucius's though has three conditions, that is,inheritance of the wu-wei from the previous dynasties You-wei(promising),only the Sage could realize the wu-wei,and wu-wei is dependent on you wei,the subject of wu-wei,and official's you wei. Therefore,Confucius's wu-wei is not the usual wu-wei,and is different from Taoism's wu-wei.In essence,Confucius's wu-wei is not a method, but an ideal political morphology.
