A Survey on Psychological State and a Multiple-factor Analysis on Depression of Type 2 Diabetic Patients

Objective: To investigate the psychological state in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and to analyze the factors of anxiety and depression.Methods: By using SAS,SDS and self-designed questionnaire,78 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were studied.Results: The positive rate of anxiety in the patients was 21.8%,and that of depression(SDS) was 35.9%.All above females were worse than males.Multiple regression analysis showed that the 3 factors influencing anxiety were dietary condition,complication,duration of disease.At the same time,5 factors influencing depression were personality character,therapy situation,acknowledge to the disease status,family support and social support.Conclusion: The psychological state in patients with diabetes mellitus was worse.The patients with diabetes mellitus had anxiety and depression emotion.The anxiety and depression were related with some factors.
