Abstract

The section of Explication of the Hexagram Kun in detail in the Chapter Zhong in the silk manuscript of the Zhouyi is a very important literature to probe Confucius' thought on hexagram Kun.By the past exegesis on this section,we can see that many terms were not correctly interpreted and need further explanations.Through detailed exegesis,this paper points out that this section demonstrates Confucius' upholding of awareness,sagehood statecraft,timely actions,internal self-cultivation and external manifestation,integrity,and sincerity,etc..
