Abstract
With an example of calculated resistance results by CFD method(Computational Fluid Dynamics,RAPID Code) and EFD(Experimental Fluid Dynamics) results for a ship,the resistance performance differences for original and modified lines of the ship are compared and analyzed.The advantages of CFD method for ship lines optimization are summarized for ship designer's references.
