Abstract
The author introduced technique of ActiveX Automation,AutoCAD object model and ADO.Through the design of overhead traveling crane's parametric CAD system,a method of secondary development of AutoCAD in using VB and ActiveX Automation technique was put forward,so that the parametric design can be realized.Achieving the main design of overhead traveling crane's parametric CAD system,designing the interface,frame,data-base about the system,accomplishing some structural drawing in parametric way.Some codes written with VB were given.
