Local anesthesia effects of articaine and mepivacaine on endodontic therapy Chenye Mayonggang

Abstract

Objective:To compare local anesthesia effects of articaine and mepivacaine on endodontic therapy. Methods:346 patients were randomly divided into two groups. Pains during injection,effects of anesthetic,jaw position difference were recorded and analyzed. Results:Pain intensity and local anesthesia effects of articaine group were similar with those of mepivacaine group during endodontic therapy,local anesthesia effects were significant difference between maxillary molar and mandibular molar. Conclusions:Both of articaine and mepivacaine are effective and safe anesthetics during tooth therapy.
