Data encryption is one of the most important technology which can provide strong protection. This article discusses the basic principle of presently data encryption algorithm:DES algorithm, IDEA algorithm, RSA algorithm and Rijndael algorithm of AES,introduces some of their application and the development of data encryption technology.
