Abstract
Nine traits including the 2.5% span length, micron value, fiber strength, plant height, boll weight, bolls per plant, seed index, lint percentage and lint yield of hybrid F1 between fine-fiber lines and conventional high-yielding varieties of upland cotton were analyzed on the genetic and phenotypic correlations. The results indicated that the trait of bolls per plant was the most closed factor with the lint yield, while the seed index was negatively correlated with the lint yield. The boll weight influenced the lint yield lightly. So it was possible to satisfy the breeding aims in span length, fiber strength and fiber fineness and feasible to get satisfactory varieties which are good at quality indicator.
