Abstract
In this study,we will take Miyun County,Beijing for examples. The variational characteristics of village and small towns are analyzed and spatial structure evolution is concluded using the technology of spatial analysis based on the extraction results of multi-temporal images, selecting two factors——the highway and river. The influence on the evolution of the spatial structure is analyzed from both natural and man-made driving force.Natural driving force includes terrain and river, and driving force of human being is mainly made up of population, economic development, road and national policy and so on.The results can be used to support the legislation of the land use policy in village and small town.
