Yu Ying-shi's modern interpretation of Song learning

In the development course of Chinese academic and historical evolution of Chinese cultural traditions,Yu Ying-shi approved highly of Song learning and made extensive and nuanced studies of it.Looking over all of Yu Ying-shi's writings and discussions about Song learning,his modern interpretations include five aspects:the cultural contribution of fusing Buddhism into Confucianism;the Confucianism ideal of inward moral concepts and outward achievement;the scholar spirit taking the duty to serve the world;the Empirical and Hermeneutic Approach to studies of Confucian classics;the clue of thought in the dispute between Zhu Xi and Lu Jiu-yuan.
