Evaluation on forest ecosystem services value in Gansu province

Based on observational data from the long-term observation of forest ecosystem in the Qilian Mountains and survey data(2008-2009) of kinds of forest areas in Gansu Province,ecological services and value of dominant tree species from different forests in Gansu province were evaluated by using the seventh forest resources inventory data and public data from the authorities and refering to the specification for assessment of forest ecosystem services in China(LY/T 1721-2008) from State Forestry Administration,P.R.China.The results showed that:(1) The total value of forest ecosystem services was 216.386 billion yuan·a-1,services values of water storage,soil conservation,C fixation and O2 release,nutrients accumulation,environment purification,biodiversity conservation,and forest recreation were respectively 85.402 billion yuan·a-1,37.851 billion yuan·a-1,52.983 billion yuan·a-1,4.694 billion yuan·a-1,11.936 billion yuan·a-1,21.570 billion yuan·a-1,1.732 billion yuan·a-1,and 0.231 billion yuan·a-1.(2) The total value of services value provided by different tree species : shrub forestHard broadleaf Quercus Broadleaf mixed forest Picea crassifolia Kom.
