Introduction Test of Four Exotic Grasses

An introduction test of four exotic grasses( Agropyron desertorum; Agropyron trachycaulum; Elymus dahuricus; Bromus inermis) was carried out in TaiPuSiQi,Inner Mongolia. During the growing season,the phenomenon of plant disease was not observed for these grasses,and they showed strong drought and cold resistance. It was also found that all of them survived safely in winter and grow quite well. It can be concluded that they are suitable for the cultivation in arid and semiarid area of northern China,especially in the dry and cold area,thus they are worthy of popularization and application.
