Clinical observation of modified Guizhishaoyaozhimu decoction in the treatment of active rheumatoid arthritis

Abstract
Objective To study the efficacy of modified Guizhishaoyaozhimu decoction in the treatment of active rheumatoid arthritis.Methods Patients with active rheumatoid arthritis were divided into two groups randomly and consecutively.Guizhishaoyaozhimu decoction was given to the treatment group of 35 cases,once daily for 4 weeks.The control group of 22 cases was given Xilebao,200mg daily for the same period of time.Results The ratio of recovery and efficacy was 51.4% and the total ratio of efficacy was 88.6% in the treatment group,which were significantly higher than those who were 27.3%,68.2% respectively in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Modified Guizhishaoyaozhimu decoction in the treatment of active rheumatoid arthritis is highly effective in the aspect of anti-inflammation and analgesia.
