Abstract

The fully mechanized top coal caving mining in the inclined seam and the mine strata pressure behaviors of the coal mining face were affected by the seam(rock) inclination. The roof of the long coal mining face would be in a longitudinal O-X type broken, the roof pressurized in the coal mining face direction would have different step features and the roof at the two face ends would failed firstly. With the site on-line monitoring and measuring conducted on the mine pressures at the two ends of No.3301 coal mining face,in combination with the mine pressure behavior,an analysis was conducted on the roof pressure features. The analysis showed the roof movement variation law of the coal mining face, periodical pressurized steps and mine pressure variation law at the two face ends. The working status of the hydraulic powered support was analyzed and the support quality of the coal mining face was inspected in order to improve the roof control level and to provide the guidance to the later production.
