Abstract

As simple formula calculations cannot meet the needs of the design and development of leaky coaxial cables,it is becoming a trend that computer simulation technology is used to analyze the transmission and radiation characteristics of leaky coaxial cables.This paper briefly describes the simulation procedure of a loose braided outer conductor leaky-coaxial cable.The electromagnetic characteristics inside the leaky coaxial cable and near its surface and far/near filelds are discussed according to the results of computer simulation.
