Abstract
Analyzed the heavy snow during 15~ 20 in January 2003 in Altay, and explained the benefit condition for snowfall in large region through circulation pattern, vapor condition and dynamic condition, etc. It is indicated that the important function of upper and lower jet stream in this heavy snow, and the function of identification and monitor to weather systems by satellite images. It is shown that the productions of T213 had better capacity of forecast about the large region heavy snow in Altay.
