Numeral-Quantifier Expressions and Subjective Notion of Quantity

The subjective notion of quantity refers to the speaker's subjective evaluation of quantities and is a subcategory of the quantity category. The subjective notion of quantity can be expressed linguistically by: A)numeral-quantifier expressions, including those used as modifiers; B)marking words used at the end of sentences; C)adverbs used as adverbials; and D)set frames that consist of two parts. This article discusses the subjective notion of quantity expressed by numeral-quantifier expressions under the following three circumstances: a)the repetition of numeral-quantifier expressions; b)special numeral-quantifier structures; and c) those numeral-quantifier structures modified directly by some words.
