Research Progress on Thermal Sprayed Al-based Coating Used on Surface Protection of Magnesium Alloys

Thermal spraying techniques used on surface protection of magnesium alloy are briefly introduced,and research status of thermal sprayed aluminum coating used on surface protection of magnesium alloy is presented.The disadvantage of thermal sprayed aluminum coating used on surface protection of magnesium alloy is pointed out.The developing trend of thermal sprayed aluminum coating on the surface of magnesium alloy in future is analyzed from two aspects,spraying technics and spraying materials.Al last,two major problems of thermal sprayed Al coa-ting used on surface protection of magnesium alloy are pointed out: reducing the porosity of Al coating and improving double-effect properties with abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance of Al coating.
