Clinical analysis of treating of cataracts diabetic with phacoemulsification

Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical therapeutic effect and complications of treating of cataracts diabetic with phacoemulsification and intraocular lens(IOL) implantation.Methods 42 cases(46 eyes) of diabetic cataract underwent phacoemulsification and foldable IOL implantation through a 3.5mm limbus tunnel incision. Results The visual acuity was 0.6 in 28 eyes(60.9%) after one day,a 1.0 in 27 eyes(58.7%) after 3 months.Corneal astigmatism degree and complications was less after surgery. Conclusions The postoperative complications was less and the visual acuity recruited rapidly.It was safe and effective to diabetics.
