Abstract
Objective To analyze the genotype in 54 reference strains of mycobacteria for the identification of clinical isolates. Methods The genotypes in 54 reference strains of mycobacteria were analyzed with 16S rRNA sequence, then phylogenetic tree was constructed and similarity was calculated. Results With the sequencing of 16S rRNA in the 54 reference strains of mycobacteria, all the mycobacteria could be discriminated except M.farcinogenes and M.senegalense;M.ulcerans and M.marinum;M.gastri and M.kansasii;3 strains of M.tuberculosis and M.microti,M.africanum.Conclusions 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis is a reliable method to discriminate mycobacteria. The study of the genotype in 54 reference strains of Mycobacteria is compensation for Gene database.
