The Effect of the Communist International and the Soviet Russia on the Formation of the First Kuomintang-Communist Cooperation

Abstract

In the history of the Chinese revolution, the foundation of the first Kuomintang-communist cooperation has important historic significance and effect. In the course of pushing forward the formation of Kuomintang-Communist, the Communist International and the Soviet Russia played very important roles. The theory of Lenin on issues about nations and colonies and the strategy of Sneevliet of Marin became the theoretical and experiential bases of the coalition between two parties Kuomintang and the Communist Party. The Communist International and the Soviet Russia wanted to push forward the development of the Chinese Communist movement and had to guard the safety of the newly born soviet Russia as well. On the issue treating with Kuomintang-Communist cooperation, on the one hand, they powerfully helped to bring about the coalition between Kuomintang and the Communist Party; on the other hand they made serious Right Opportunism inclination when carrying out the policy and buried the hidden trouble to the final failure of the first Kuomintang-Communist cooperatio.
