Eco-industrial Parks in China(2000—2010)

Abstract

This paper reviews the development of eco-industrial parks in China.By presenting the achievements and problems,the paper summarizes some features of China's eco-industrial park development,including the government-oriented promotion model,the sustained industrial growth,the centered infrastructure construction mode and the under-development national industrial symbiosis network.For the problems in eco-industrial parks development,the paper analyzes the causes,including impetus,capabilities,constraints and incentive issues.Finally,some countermeasures are presented for the development of eco-industrial parks.
