Abstract
There are few sensitivity and specific biomarkers in early diagnosis for acute kidney injury(AKI).Nowadays more attentions are paid on a new biomarker named neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin(NGAL).Many studies have shown that NGAL is a powerful predictor on AKI.Meanwhile some observations have found that recombinant NGAL plays a role in protection of renal tubule. This review will present the function of NGAL in early diagnosis and treatment for AKI.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
