COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF STRONG MOTION RECORDS AND SEISMIC INTENSITY IN EPICENTER OF WUQIA M_S 5.1 EARTHQUAKE IN XINJIANG

Abstract

MS 5.1 earthquake occurred on Jan.1 in 2011,southwest of Wuqia County in Xinjiang.10 strong motion fixed stations near the epicenter area of Xinjiang strong motion network got the full acceleration records of the earthquake.The maximum acceleration reached 80.08 cm·s-2.In this paper,the acceleration records from 10 strong motion fixed stations were processed and the seismic intensity was calculated.Compared with the on-site inspection of macro-seismic intensity,there was good consistency between them.
