Abstract

At the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty,the west Catholicism missionaries did missionary work in China.Its active significance was not only restricted in the religious territory.It had the huge influence between China and Europe in humanities area of knowledge such as science,culture,art,philosophy.Missionaries gave the Confucianist a new explanation through the ontology,the beauty close the porism,the morals discusses,the practice,the epistemology,which tallied with the Christianity religious doctrine.The west began to understand and to know Chinese through the explanation.and this kind of the Confucianist thought had the certain influence in the west.These missionaries' activities namely had the cultural history significance,also had meaning of thinking history.
