Abstract
Objective: To observe the clinical effects of syndrome differentiation of Traditional Chinese Medicine( TCM) on hepatitis C. Methods: 42 cases with hepatitis were randomized into observation group and control group, with 21 cases in each group.Observation group were orally administered Chinese medicine decoction while control group were given conventional western medicine treatment. Results: The effect rate was 76. 2% in observation group and 81. 0% in control group; the difference had no statistical significance( P 0. 05). The level of serum ALT in observation group was higher than that in control group( P 0. 05).There was no significant difference of the short-term efficacy between the two groups( P 0. 05). The long-term efficacy of observation group was better than that of control group( P 0. 05). Conclusion: TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment has remarkable therapeutic effects on hypertitis C,which can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and signs of the patients and promote the recovery of their liver function with secure long-term efficacy.
