Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of stretch and experimental factors on afferent discharge frequency of muscle spindle.Methods By BL-420 biology function recording system,the afferent discharge of isolated toad sartorial muscle spindle was recorded,and the effect of experimental factors on the discharge of muscle spindle was also observed.Results along with stretch intensity increasing,the discharge frequency of spindle increase.At same stretch intensity,fast stretch elicits more nerve impulse than slow stretch.Conclusions Muscle spindle is length sensor of muscle,exist fast adapt and slow adapt phenomena.Its sensitivity is affected by muscle length and temperature.
