Abstract
Objective To evaluate the value of volume scan in diagnosing lumbar spondyloschisis using 64-slice CT.Methods 328 patients with low back pain were performed by 64-slice spiral CT(PHILIPS Brilliance 64).The lesions of spondyloschisis were observed with the techniques of multiplanar reconstruction(MPR),volume rendering(VR) and curved planar reconstruction(CPR).Results Of all the 328 cases,50 lesions of lumbar spondyloschisis were detected in 26 cases(7.98%).The direct and indirect features of lumbar spondyloschisis were revealed by oblique sagital plane,CPR,VR,MPR.But only 21cases(80.8%) were demonstrated by axial scan. Conclusion The volume scan and post-processing technique of 64-slice CT can improve the detection rate of lumbar spondyloschisis.
