Abstract
The polymer of P(C 9-AA) and P(DCPD-St-α-St-AA) were synthesized and used as emulsifiers to prepare high solid content, large particles and stable poly (styrene /acrylate /methyl methacrylate /acrylic acid) emulsion. The effects of emulsifiers, temperature and initiator concentration on the properties of emulsion were discussed, respectively. The best conditions of polymerization are 90 ℃, ammonium persulfate 1.2 mass% (to monomer), 40% solid content when P(C 9-AA) is used as emulsifier, and 80 ℃~90 ℃, ammonium persulfate 1.2 mass% (to monomer), 50% solid content when P(DCPD-St-α-St-AA) is used as emulsifier.
