Abstract
The landslide is located in Changdu Town,Tibet. Its total volume is up to 526×104m3,while its revival part is only 147×104m3. The landslide has received much attention because of its special location, serious damage and social effect. The formation mechanism of the landslide is caused by the unreasonable excavation of its slope under the abnormal weather condition of the area. Based on the shape and the structure characteristics of the landslide, the genetic mechanism has been analyzed by using geological history method, the influential factor for the revival and deformation of the landslide has been discussed, and the stability and evolution trend of the landslide have been evaluated.Considering a high retaining wall built in the front of the landslide, preliminary design of the control project has been carried out.
