Comparison of histology and cytology between triploid loach (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus) and diploid loach

Abstract

To ascertain the difference of histology and cytology between triploid loach and diploid loach Misgurnus anguillicaudatus,we used blood smears and histology slices to gauge the cells.This paper compared the size of erythrocyte major axis and minor axis,its nuclear major axis and minor axis,blood cells composition and the structure of eyes of triploid and diploid loach.The result shows that the erythrocyte and its nuclear major axis of triploid are bigger than the diploid's,and the nuclear major axis of erythrocyte of triploid is about 1.12 times of the diploid's.The result also shows that the erythrocyte volume and the nuclear volume of the triploid loach is about 1.62 times and 1.44 times of the diploid's respectively.The relative amounts of erythrocyte of the triploid are less than the diploid's.On the contrary,the amounts of neutrophils,monocytes and lymphocytes of the triploid are more than the diploid's.The amounts of chromocytes in eyes of the triploid are also less than the diploid's.
