Abstract
The shoreline change and reclaimation of part of Jiangsu coast(32°00′—34°10′N)were examined using investigation data and satellite images. The results show that the coast was silting except north and south part, and the silted coast land has been reclaimed. The reclamation area during 1992—2002 is much larger than that during 1989—1992,showing stronger human activities, impact on the coast. In addition, the accretion of north side and the erosion of south side of the dyke in Dafeng Harbor reflect the impact of local manmade structure and transportation of coastal sediments from north to south.
