Design and Implementation of the UPnP Module of Digital Home Gateways

Abstract

This paper discusses the implementation of the digital home,the construction of the home network and the important status of the home gateway,and gives a particular analysis of the composition and working principle of the home network standard UPnP.Finally the paper presents an implementation scheme of the UPnP module of digital home gateways to realize the effective sharing and transportation of the media in the home network.The structure of the scheme is clear and its extensibility is strong.The scheme has been successfully implemented in a home gateway with the embedded Linux operating system.
