Abstract
Rats in two randomly divided groups took either normal chow,or high-fat diet.10 weeks later ,rats of high-fat diet showed body weight and visceral fat mass gained significantly (P0.05,P0.01,respectively) and developed insulin resistance.The level of fasting plasma TNFα has increased significantly in high-fat diet group compared with normal chow group(P0.05)).This study showed that insulin resistance in obesity rat can be induced successfully with high-fat diet, and the state of insulin resistance of obesity rats is related with the increased concentration of fasting plasma TNFα.
