Abstract
Linux is a versatile and cost effective operating system for embedded systems. It can be embedded in a surprisingly small system to handle simple tasks and scaled up to handle more complex tasks. This paper will discuss the advantages of using Embedded Linux in small network devices. An example system of Embedded Linux will be presented in some detail.
