Abstract
The raise of the concept of socialist system with Chinese characteristics is both an institutional crystallization and a new starting point of the Communist Party of China's exploration for socialism with Chinese characteristics.The economic essence of socialist system with Chinese characteristics is a conclusion of the entire process first from production of commodities with the background of learning from the Soviet to a planned commodity economy,thereafter to a socialist market economy,and eventually to the perfection of macroeconomic regulation and people's livelihood.It is composed of four basic contents including the foundation,the subject,the tools and the goals.
