Abstract
Ethyl acetate was synthesized from esterification between ethanol and acetic acid with molybdovanadophosphoric heteropoly acid as catalyst. The influential factors of the reaction were investigated and the optimized synthetic conditions were obtained as follows:catalyst amount was 5% of mass of acetic acid, molar ratio of acetic acid to ethanol was 1∶2.5,reaction time was 30 min and reaction temperature was 120 ℃.Under above conditions, the yield of ethyl acetate was 84.7%.
