Abstract
Objective:To investigate the surgical treatment of brain tumors near the central sulcus. Methods:The clinical features and operative methods of 42 patients with brain tumors near the central sulcus were reviewed. Results: Among the 38 cases who showed no change in muscle strength within 24 hours after operation,32 cases had a decrease in muscle strength within one week but recovered after 2 to 3 weeks.39 cases were followed up and 37 cases had good quality of life. Conclusions: In the treatment of brain tumors near the central sulcus, preserving limb function is as important as removing tumor.
