Chromosome Number and Karyotype Analysis of Fine Variety of Hemerocallis Hybrida Hort.

Abstract
The chromosome number of fine variety of Hemerocallis hybrida hort.was identified by the conventional squashing method.The results showed as follows: Hemerocallis ‘Butter Curls’ 2n=2x=22;Hemerocallis ‘Stella de Oro’ 2n=2x=22;Hemerocallis ‘Betty Woods’ 2n=2x=22;Hemerocallis ‘baltimove Oriole’ 2n=3x=33.The karytotype of Hemerocallis ‘Betty Woods’was analyzed.The karyotype formula is 2n=2x=10m+6sm+4st+2T,belonging to 2B type of Stabbings karyotypic symmetry.
