Fracture in shale gas play and the evaluation of its effects

As an important non-conventional energy,shale gas achieved a successful business exploit only in the United States and Canada.Successful commercial exploit of shale gas depends primarily on the development of horizontal drilling and fracturing technology breakthrough. Currently,multistage fracturing、riverfrac treatment、fracture networkfracturing、refracturing and synchronous fracturing are the mian method that used in the shale gas play. Besides CO_2,N_2 foam fracturing is also gaining increasing attention.From the fracturing fluid、fracturing techniques and monitoring methods and evaluation of fracture effects,fracturing in shale gas was introduced in this article.
