Abstract
The number of prompt (vp) and delayed (vd) neutrons emitted per fission event was evaluated for 239Pu based on absolute measurements and relative to the spontaneous fission v of 252Cf. The dependence of prompt neutron number on incident neutron energy for 239Pu was given from 10-5 eV to 20 MeV
