The Treatment and Nursing of Nausea and Vomiting during Chemical Therapy with Cisplatin

Objective:To investigate the effect of Sulpiride on preventing and controlling nausea and vomiting after the chemical therapy with cisplatin.Methods:86 cases of cancer,mainling treated with cisplatin were investigated.The patients were given Sulpiride orally in the first week and Metoclopramide injection in the second week.The effects of Sulpiride and Meloclopramide on preventing nausea and vomiting were compared.Results:The effective rate of Sulpiride and Metoclopramide in 2,3,4 days were 83.7%(50%),83.7%(53.7%) and 93%(81.4%),respectively ( P 0.05).The reaction of extrapyramidal system was 2.3% in the patients of sulpiride group and 9.3% in the patients of metoclopramide group ( P 0.05).Conclusion:The effect of Sulpiride is better than that of Metochopramide and its side-effect is also light.
